The Council's Housing Services division employs the equivalent of 70 full-time staff and is split into four main work areas:
Estate Management (responsible for managing the Council's housing stock, including flats that are 'owned' by leaseholders)
Project Control (responsible for the effective maintenance of the Council's housing stock)
Housing Needs(manages the challenging task of trying to balance the demand for housing with the availability of accommodation)
Enabling and Private Sector (responsible for wide ranging functions, including the production of housing strategies, working with Housing Associations to enable the provision of new affordable homes; tackling deficient accommodation in the private sector and helping vulnerable owner occupiers to continue to live independently.)
