Green box & blue bag collection service

Recycling collection update - some delays this week. (This link will open in a new window)

To help you recycle as much as possible we provide green boxes and blue bags for your materials. These are available free of charge from the council offices in Oxted. If you would like them delivered please contact amenity services using the details below or fill in the request a green box or blue bag form. On your collection day every week leave your green box and blue bags at the edge of your property by 7am, making sure they are visible from the road. Find out your collection day. Your recycling will then be collected and your box and bags replaced ready for next time.

Green recycling boxFill your green box with the following materials.

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Food and drinks cans

Fill one blue bag with mixed paper and card including the following materials.

  • Newspapers and magazinesBlue recycling bag
  • Catalogues and directories
  • Junk mail
  • Cereal boxes and other card
  • Envelopes
  • Cardboard which is cut up to fit inside the bag
  • Shredded paper contained as much as possible

Fill a second blue bag with plastic drinks bottles including the following types.Blue recycling bag with squashed plastic drinks bottles ready for collection

  • Squash bottles
  • Mineral water bottles
  • Fizzy drinks bottles
  • Fruit juice bottles
  • Milk bottles (rinsed please)

Assisted recycling collection service

Special arrangements are available for elderly or disabled residents who are not able to take their box or bag to the edge of their property. Please contact amenity services using the details below to register for the assisted collection scheme.
