Website standards and statistics

We continuously monitor our site to make sure it works well and meets your needs. We use a number of tools to help us do this. On this page you will find details of the monitoring we carry out, as well as some statistics about the site.

Website statistics

We use SiteAnalyze to help us monitor number of website visitors and most popular pages. Click on the report below to find out more information about visitors to the website.

Website statistics

This report gives information about where our website visitors come from, how much time they spend on the site and how often they return. It also shows the most requested pages and how they get to the site ie search engine or bookmarks etc.

Helpful tips:

  • Visits - any visit to the website during the time scale in the reports.
  • Unique visitors - these are individuals who visited the site during the report period. If they visit more than once during that timescale they are only counted once.
  • Page views - a page view is recorded every time someone browses one of the pages.

Website availability

We aim to provide you with a council website available 100% of the time, excluding any planned maintenance work, or factors outside our control. We use SiteAlarm to monitor this - Site alarm monthly report.

SiteImprove checking

We use an automated service provided by SiteImprove to check for accessibility problems, broken links and spelling mistakes. Our aim is to fix any problems as soon as possible.

We aim to have no broken links on our site for those we control (an external site may be temporarily unavailable due to technical reasons. If you find a link which doesn't work, please let us know by contacting us using our contact us form.

E-mails

We aim to respond to all e-mails within ten working days. If a full response is not available in that time, an acknowledgement will be sent, with details about when a full reply will follow.
