What are housing benefit meal deductions?


Housing benefit meal deductions apply to each member of the family. The figures below are deducted from the rent used to calculate housing benefit.

The figures below apply from April 2008.

 BREAKFAST
(only)
FULL BOARD
(3 meals or more per day)
PART BOARD
(any other arrangement)
Aged 16 or over£2.65£21.60£14.35
Aged under 16£2.65£10.90£7.20
