Car parking areas provided as part of housing estates are for the express use of Council tenants and leaseholders who live on those particular estates, together with any of their visitors. In the case of parking areas adjacent to Council houses, these can also be used by the owners of ex-Council houses bordering the parking area.
The Council does not normally charge for parking a vehicle on these sites and usage is therefore very much on a "first come, first served" basis. Parking spaces are not designated for individual use. Users must comply with regulations and not do or allow to be done anything that would cause a nuisance to adjoining residents or other users of the car parking area.
Any untaxed vehicles left on these sites will be removed by the Council.
