Tandridge District Council has an Apprenticeship Programme.
Apprenticeships are based on attainment of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). Each NVQ comprises of nationally pre-determined modules that the apprentice must complete to the satisfaction of an external verifier.
NVQs can either be supervised solely within the working environment (and backed up by a training provider) or may involve a mixture of work-based supervision and day release at college. NVQs range from basic competence at Level 1 through to Level 5 which is broadly equivalent to a Degree.
