Tandridge offers work experience placements to many children in local schools around the district. The placement usually lasts for a week, although from time to time we do have students who want more in-depth work experience and opt for the option of one day a week over a period of months.
We are usually approached by parents, schools or Trident (the organisation responsible for finding work placements for students).
The Personnel & Training Section co-ordinates all work experience placements. We arrange to meet the student before the placement starts, provide them with an Induction Pack specifically designed for young people and make arrangements for insurance cover. Personnel & Training also liaise with sections to ensure a work programme has been set up for the student.
