Following the publication of the Good Practice Guidance, this note sets out the information regarding the arrangements for Tandridge District Council to accommodate personal searches of the Local Land Charges Register and access to our information for Local Enquiries search.
- All registrations on property are given in response to a personal search. This information is located at the Council offices, Station Road East, Oxted, Surrey RH8 0BT. The opening hours for the Council are 8.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. on Fridays.
- The Local Land Charges Register is held partly in paper format and partly on electronic format.
- For personal searchers, at least 24 hours advance notice is required and the address and a plan need to be lodged.
- Tandridge District Council runs an appointments scheme and appointments are daily between 10.00 - 11.00 a.m., eight searches can be accommodated on a daily basis.
- There are no charges for access to information and copies of documents; the statutory personal search fee is in force.
- Any comments, suggestions or complaints about the service should be made to Mrs V Mundy, Land Charges Manager, Council Offices, Station Road East, Oxted, Surrey RH8 0BT.
