Lamb's Business Park was designated a "Major Developed Site" (MDS) in the Tandridge District Local Plan 2001. The designation followed the Local Plan Inquiry Inspector's recommendation that the site met the criteria for designation set out in the Government's Planning Policy Guidance Note No. 2 "Green Belts" (PPG2).
PPG2 recommends that site briefs be prepared for MDS to guide future development. A draft brief was considered by the Council's Planning and Environment Committee at its meeting on 15th July 2004 and the Committee agreed to publish the brief for public consultation purposes. On the 18th November 2004 the Planning and Environment Committee considered representations received in response to the consultation. The Committee resolved to adopt the brief with a number of amendments.
