Refuse - what happens to it?

Any household waste you don't recycle ends up in Pattison Court Landfill Site, near Redhill in Surrey.

So if you've been recycling your glass, paper and cans in our kerbside scheme you have helped divert approximately a quarter of your household waste from landfill.

That means there is still approximately 24,000 tonnes of rubbish being landfilled every year!

Please recycle all you can.
