Consultation

Apart from any statutory surveys we are required to do, we occasionally carry out other services. Details of any surveys we have carried out are given below.

Current surveys

Community Alarm

We have carried a survey about the Community Alarm (This link will open in a new window) service and are currently collating the results which will be made available on this page as soon as possible.

Housing services

During September we are sending a questionnaire to all housing tenants (This link will open in a new window) to ask for their views about how we currently deliver housing services and what their priorities are for the future.

Partner surveys

Start talking about mental health

NHS Surrey and Surrey County Council are consulting on their joint draft commissioning strategy for dementia and mental health services for older people in Surrey.

Have your say at www.fadingmemories.surreyhealth.nhs.uk. (This link will open in a new window)

The consultation finishes on 1 October.

The strategy has been produced by the Dementia and Older People's Mental Health Strategy Group, led jointly by NHS Surrey and Surrey County Council. Membership includes representation from Surrey and Borders Partnership Foundation Trust, Surrey Community Health, district and borough councils and voluntary organisations.

Rethink your drink

In Surrey, around 1 in 3 adults drink more than the recommended levels. In 2008, only 16% of people that responded to Surrey's Big Drink Debate knew what the recommended limits for alcohol were. As part of the Surrey Alcohol Strategy (2009-2011), the NHS and partners have been working together to raise awareness of alcohol units and safe levels of drinking.

To help us monitor this work please fill in the following survey Rethink your drink. (This link will open in a new window)

Government consultations

The Coalition Programme for Government included a commitment to give residents a veto over excessive increases in their council tax bill. A consultation document (This link will open in a new window) sets out the basic principles underpinning the proposed scheme and asks for views on the practicality and technical feasibility of the mechanisms for triggering and holding a referendum. The consultation finishes on 10 September.

Surveys in 2009

Sheltered housing survey

The Council carried out a survey in 2009 asking residents for their views about sheltered housing to help us plan future services.
