Food hygiene training courses

Annex II Chapter XII of EC Regulation 852/2004 requires:

Food business operators to ensure:
1. that food handlers are supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene matters commensurate with their work activity;
2. that those responsible for the development and maintenance of the procedure referred to in Article 5(1) of this Regulation or for the operation of relevant guides have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles; and
3. compliance with any requirements of national law concerning training programmes for persons working in certain food sectors.

Tandridge District Council now offers food hygiene courses as a means of compliance with these duties.

• Level 2 food hygiene 1 day course providing basic skills for food handlers
• Level 3 food hygiene 3 day course for supervisors and managers

Both courses involve taking an exam to show what you have learnt.

Please note that you have seven days from the date of payment to cancel your course and obtain a refund. If you are subsequently unable to attend the course you have booked, we will endeavour to accommodate you on later course, but will be unable to refund the fee after this initial statutory cancellation period.
